Change to Slotronic 2000 FB with bus system. This means a substantial advantage for switch cabinet manufacturing. In addition the new control system marks the beginning of decentralisation.
Experimental plant constructed and installed in the company to test the new PC control system and a decentralised system
The first plant with PC control under Windows NT 4.0 is put into operation. The graphic display offers a great advantage for the plant operators. The larger hardware resources (faster processors and in particular larger storage media) allow a more flexible operation and a more comprehensive quality management system.
The visualisation is further improved and extended into a multilingual system. => it is possible to switch freely between the national language of the customer and German for our engineers.
Decentralisation and bus systems are developed further and tested in our company. First soft SPS systems are tested in the company.
The change from external SPS systems (B&R) to a soft SPS from Beckhoff (TWINCAT System with Profibus Master) is implemented.
This soft SPS systems provide a higher system stability and reliability and a far higher performance.
The control system for planned major projects the control system is tested in the company with regard to system stability and performance and improved. This is already based on soft SPS systems.
Distance measuring of the transporting equipment is changed from incremental measuring to absolute measuring with laser measurement systems. For this transition the control system of the transport equipment is already decentralised => the transporters are equipped with intelligent mini SPS systems. This permits the movement of the transporters without related PC control, which results in a great advantage for installation and for the customer.

Distance measuring is changed from laser to barcode sytem. The decentralisation was also demanded by suppliers (e.g. rectifiers etc.). This permits an easy-to-maintain and modular assembly.
